In this Microsoft Access Tip, I'll show you how to use a combo box in a form header to set a default value for new records.
Access Tip Combo Box Default ValueLink William Kolln 7/13/2016
Hi Richard. I live in Cairns Australia. I loved this tutorial and many others you have, but the stuff I am really after is advanced version of this which you said to ask for. Like your TeacherID field which you add records to when input from the drop box default value, I'd like to be able to change/update all values in the TeacherID field from whatever is selected in the combobox in the form header. Don't know if there is a vba/macro. If you can assist the tutorial video would be much appreciated. And I have searched your site but alas my glasses/eyesight may be faulty, so please forgive if you have already done this.Read More... Thanks for your great tips. Regards William
Reply from Alex Hedley:
Is it something like the Copy Last Record Tip you're after? You could use a DLOOKUP to use the TeacherID to get other Fields from that Teacher Record and fill them in.
