Advanced Form Buttons
Q: |
I was told that it's
possible to create buttons in Microsoft FrontPage that have pictures
on them. I've played around with the push buttons and every option
imaginable, but I can't figure out how to put images in my buttons.
It's driving me crazy. Can you help? >Amy, Pittsburgh PA

Amy, you can't put
images in normal buttons in FrontPage (or in HTML for that
matter). You have to use a FrontPage control called an Advanced
Button. You can find it by clicking on Insert > Form >
Advanced Button. If you don't see it, try clicking on the little
double-arrow at the very bottom of the menu (to open up the menu
fully). This feature was first made available in FrontPage 2002
(XP), so if you have FP 2000 or earlier, you will not have this
(good time to upgrade).
Now, once you place the button on
your form, you can do all kinds of stuff inside the button. You can
change fonts, colors, and even put tables and images inside
the button face. They're really neat. We teach all about them in our
FrontPage 202 course.
Give this a try and see if it works.
Hope this helps you.
