Microsoft Access Append Query
Using an Append Query to Add Records to a Table - Track Student Attendance
Q: I have a class full of students, and I need to be able
to keep track of their attendance on a daily basis, and I have to be
able to save a history of the data for the entire school year. What is the best way
to do this in Access, keeping in mind that ease of data entry is
a must, since I have a lot of students?

A: This can be done with a
couple of tables and an append query. It's much easier to show
you than to type it out, so watch this FREE VIDEO TUTORIAL
for complete step-by-step instructions:
I teach the concepts in this free tutorial in my
Access 222 course. These are
full courses - over 60 minutes in length each. I spend a lot more time going
over how to do this, in addition to lots more tips and tricks.
I also cover Append Queries in my newer Access Expert Level 16 course.
