I've Been Super Busy Lately
By Richard Rost   Richard Rost on Twitter Richard Rost on LinkedIn Email Richard Rost   8 years ago

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I've been on the road A LOT lately (half business, half personal).

I went through today and at least APPROVED all of the posts that were in the Forums, even though I don't have the time to RESPOND to all of them right now. Hopefully you can all help each other; if you see someone else's post that you feel YOU can answer, please chip in. :)

Things will probably be real busy for me for the next three to four weeks. I'll have time to release my obligatory Access class every week to 10 days, but I'm not going to have much time for anything else (maybe a short seminar or two). Things should settle down for me around the middle of November and I'll be able to dedicate more time to helping out in the Forums.

In the mean time, if you NEED help and you can't figure out how to do something, remember you can always use the TECHHELP page, or contact me if you need consulting assistance.

Thanks for understanding.

In your Outlines that you sell, do they show everything exactly as you show us in the videos? Or are they just brief descriptions?

Reply from Richard Rost:

What do you mean? I don't sell any outlines. Are you talking about my HANDBOOKS? If so, then yes... they give you a brief overview of what's covered in the video. They're good for following along with while you're watching the videos AND for using as a quick reference after the class. Sometimes it's easier to flip through the handbook to refresh your memory than it is to try and find a specific topic in 90 minutes of video. If you'd like a sample, contact customer service. Hello Rick

Just wanted you to know a little bit about a project I m working on. I have been developing a database that monitors soccer games. I came up with a fairly complicated method of analysing prices to determine the current scores of matches. It was OK but my data feed via an API is a bit unreliable now and then. While pondering this occasional duff data problem the obvious solution occurred to me and you saved me again. How? Well there is a site that I sometimes go to to check soccer match progress. Duh! Rick has already taught me to do what we used to call screen scraping. Long story short, I am now monitoring scores easily thanks to you AGAIN :o) Read More...

How long before we see advanced excel 2010?

Reply from Richard Rost:

I hate giving time estimates, but you'll probably see a few Advanced Excel 2013 lessons in 1Q 2014.
