Frank, very true. You would have to calculate the counter when the record is first edited and then IMMEDIATELY save it to the table. The chances of a data collision would then be very small. You could perform ANOTHER check when you then go to save the final record to the table, and update if necessary. That would make it REALLY rare for any collisions.
