Thank you for this video! I struggled all day yesterday with it and finally adding it to the trusted locations has worked so far. But I only had to add the front end, not the back end too. I was still worried that something was wrong with my code and that my 'solution' might break it further down the road until I saw your video suggesting the same fixes I found. I'm still new at this and it didn't even occur to me that it could be a Microsoft update that broke it lol.

Hi Guys
I have had a similar problem for quite some tine and as no one else commented on it I assumed there was something wrong with my set up.
The symptons were that after working on a database then opening again nothing appeared to happen.
After rummaging in the task manager I discovered Access running in the background even though I had closed Access down.
After running a database then opening another database that failed to appear, I realised that the requested database was actually running even though I couldn't see it.
The giveaway was that the particular database runs a backup on the first opening of the day (Thanks Rick).
Another symptom of this problem showed up because I use MZTools in VBA and sometimes its toolbars did not appear.
I think the logic of MZTools must be that if Access is running then it does not need to set up.
I may be completely wrong about that, however I had a solution that solved all these issues.
I simply created a BAT file called KillAccess.bat contain
Yeah, Microsoft breaks things with it's upgrades. LOL. Remember a few months back when they broke the Shift-F2 zoom feature? Hit those keys and Access locks up. Had to wait for a patch for that one. I use Shift-F2 all the time.
