Calendar Control Upload Images   Link   Email

Hi RIchard and guys, I recently bought the calendar seminar. It's working really good. I have one problem with the date picker. When you put the calendar control in, I tried to find it in my version of access 2016 . I do have the activex but not the calendar control. I did the calculate start date and the code but the error i got was Expected variable or procedure, not module. I don't know vba code that well so I need to search for the vba code that will do that calculation.

Access no longer comes with the Calendar control. There are a couple of Addendums to the seminar.

Hi Richard and guys. Thanks for the Addendums that was very helpful. My Director  was looking at me being very impressed and said she didn't even think access could do this, create a calendar. I showed her the appointments and we clicked on them one at a time but she asked a question, I know there is a way. Her statement was she didn't want to click on each appointment. She wanted to click on the day and it brings up a pop up window that shows all the appointment for that day. Now to watch the past videos about VBA coding and see how to do it. Any suggestions. Thanks.

You could do that relatively easily.  Create a form for drilling down to the single day.  Then put an open from event in the calendar to open that day.
So say you double clicked the date label to select it.  You could put the open form on that label.
As you mentioned above now you are getting into the VBA arena.  It could definitely be done though.

Hey Scott, Creating a form for the calendar table im in the process of doing now.  Using the Date label is a great idea to open that day to the form. Now to figure out the code to put in. Thanks again.

The next version will have that. Lol
