Can anyone help me with something in my contact database.  I want to try to setup a thing in my database with my email addresses, phone numbers and addresses.  I have contact database and in the form i have basic information like firstname lastname address email and phone numbsers.  With the phone numbers, email and addresses i want to create a subform in the main form that i can click on button address, email and phone numbers that I can have multiple phone numbers, addresses and email addresses for 1 contact like what Richard has in the ABCD database.  Really if someone can give me advise what i can do to have multiple addresses, email and phone numbers.

The ABCD literally gives you step by step instructions on how to set this up. Are you looking for someone else to set it up for you?

If so, Developers, here you go. :)

Hi All,
Maybe you would be interested in makeing some changes to the ZipCode LookUp Paid version that is on this site. What I would like done is the following:
Remove Edit Button
Replace Txt box "Zip" with a combo, add a not in list event to add, dbl click event to edit. Read More...

Hi David
Just a thought on the Txt Box " Zip "
Why would you want a Combo Box?
It will slow down the forms load time having to load all of the Zip Codes in that Combo Box.
After you get 1000s of Zip Codes in that database you will see.
The Zip field already has code to check if the Zip Code is in the Zip database
and if not it will open the ZipLookupF form so you can add the new Zip Code.
And for the " dbl click Zip field event to Edit"
just take the code form the Edit button and place it in the Dbl click event in the Zip field.
Hope this helps.

I agree with Ray. Making it a combo box will slow it down a lot once you get lots of records in there. If anything you could make the ZIP lookup text box a search as you type box that populates a listbox or something.

Hi all, I would like to see someone put together a db of good solid code samples of all the things like NotInList, DblClick, On Enter, on Load,  If Statements, Case Statements, DLookup, and all the things we use all the time but examples of each in different senarios such as filtering a form, not filtering a form, and so on... I would love to see someone who knows more about all these things than I and would gladly pay for it. Just go through the property window and go down the lsit and create this with various examples of different options and explain each one. Let me know if anyone is interested in creating this and a cost for it. I am quite sure it would be worth it.

Hi David. This is one of the goals of the MyPath learning system that I started building. It's still in its infancy, but what I envision is very close to what you are talking about. If you want to learn about form design, you go to that section and watch whatever lessons you want about that topic. If you want to learn event procedures, you can go to that section. If you're not sure what you need, start at the beginning. My current lessons tend to be structured around what I think you need to learn next. MyPath will be structured more like a book index. Check it out. It's coming along slowly. I've got so many projects in progress right now.

Thanks Richard, I will be very interested in this. I struggle with these things all the time and need a reference liabrary to choose from. I get so frustraited with using the web to find a not in list event for specific things and so much i just cant remember as i dont use them enough to get them correct. So yes, please......
