I am using the "tab" and "isprimary" construct of the core 1 ABCD db and the 1st 2 "tabs" primary coding works, I copied it to the 3rd and 4th tabs/forms and it gives syntax error...

Appears MemMstrID doesn't exist on the Form
Can you see the SQL in the error says
' = AND

MemMstrID is a nonvisable field on all 4 forms.   the 4 forms all have two hidden fields: , memmstriid/URLID, memmstrid/emailID  memmstrid/phoneid, memmstrid/AddressID,  ....I literally copied the code from the first form URL to all the others and changed the urlid to emailid/phoneid/addressid .....the first 2 forms is as if there are hidden characters.  I have moved all the code to one line, and added msgbox. and I am getting blank values for memmstrid and phone ....

Try referring to the Combo Box Name instead of the ID.

msgbox memmstrid & " " & ComboBoxName

Try referring to the Combo Box Name instead of the ID, why would it work on two of the 4 four forms not referring to combo?

All is working and I am believe/convinced I had two problems.  I need me. refresh for newly added records and :

I copied the following from the template into my code and the above SYNTAX error

DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE AddressT Set IsPrimary=FALSE WHERE MemMstrID=" & MemMstrID & _
        " AND addressID<>" & addressID

I copied it to note pad and the copied back and it worked--also when I copy from the template my "insertion" is turned off so when I type it types over the existing char until I turn "insert" back on (the key above delete on my keypad)...I am convinced that when I  copy , there are ascii control characters being inserting/translated (line feed, end of txt, backspace, or or...)

this is the 2nd time that I think this same problem happened, the first time I thought I was having trouble with double double,   This happens all the time coping txt from the web into a field.

If it happens again let me know exactly what you're doing so I can reconstruct the problem on my end - with the stock template, of course. If you'd made any changes to it, I can't promise they'll work. :)
