Access is Super Useful Upload Images   Link   Email
Christopher D Edwards
Thank you for clearing the air on this question. I see articles forecasting access going away all over the internet which is frustrating because it's not a bad tool! Access is super useful and powerful. I use access in my line of work and it never disappoints and always delivers. I think people get intimidated by Access because there are so many bells and whistles to it. Your videos help break that intimidation and reach those folks who are curious about access. Keep it up!

Glad it was helpful. There are a few groups of Access haters. (1) people who know Excel and are intimidated by Access because they don't understand it. (2) IT guys who think Access is for NOOBZ and you should use something real like Oracle. (3) Database pros who are trying to sell you a different solution and will bad-talk Access to try and sell you on their cloud service. (4) Microsoft haters. People who can't stand anything Redmond.

But yes. Access is, by far, THE BEST desktop database development tool on the planet. I say "desktop" because obviously it doesn't run on tablets, phones, or over the web (by itself). It's great on it's own for personal, small, and mid-sized business use. Match it up with it's big brother, SQL Server, and it's great for ANY business.
