two different forms Upload Images   Link   Email
Roderick Barbour
After practicing the lessons on forms, I was wondering if it would be possible or even advisable to create two different forms using the same query for two different users? I am thinking that it would not make a difference because the same record locking rules would apply regardless.  Thanks in advance. Really am enjoying learning from you.

Reply from Richard Rost:

Yes this is fine. The record-locking occurs at the table level. I often create different forms for different users. For example, you could have a "secretary" form that is specially designed for data entry of new clients, and may not have sensitive fields on it like Credit Limit or Income. You could then have a second "admin" form with EVERYTHING on it for just managers. Both forms pull data from the same table, but they're optimized in different ways.
