Splitting a Table
Q: |
I am using Microsoft
FrontPage XP to design my Web site. I have a bunch of pages that
have product information (details, pricing, etc.) that are laid out
in tables. I need to go through each of these pages and break
up the tables according to product category - so that we can put a
picture and a description between each category group. There are
about ten pages with tables that are hundreds of rows long. Do you
know a shortcut? > Natalie, Auckland, New Zealand

Natalie, there is a
nifty little trick in FrontPage that lets you split a table
in two. Just click in your table where you want the break to go, and
then click on Table > Split Table. Your table will now be
broken up into two tables. It's the quickest shortcut I can think of
for you.
We cover this exact topic in our
Microsoft FrontPage 103 course. We show you how you can use
Tables to display data on your web pages, and how you can also use
tables to create a professional and consistent page layout for your
web sites. Tables, along with the include page component are two
very powerful key features that every web designer should know. |
