Very soon, I'm going to switch all of my NEW lessons over to Office 2013. It's the latest version available from Microsoft, and it makes the most sense to release new lessons for 2013 instead of continuing with older versions. There are VERY FEW differences between the 2010 and 2013 versions of Word, Excel, and Access, so I'm confident that there won't be any problems from people following along with 2013 that are still using 2010 or even 2007.
ACCESS: I'm going to re-record Access Beginner 1 for 2013 users. This lesson is for the absolute beginners, so I want them to be able to follow along with exactly what they would see on the screen. Following that, however, they can move forward using Access 2010 Beginner 2 to 9 and Expert 1. There's not a lot of difference there. I'll point out the changes from 2010 to 2013 in a new video. MOVING FORWARD, I'm going to be switching my Expert and Advanced lessons over to 2013 probably starting with Expert Level 3... maybe Level 2. Again, current 2010 users will be able to follow along with NO problems.
EXCEL: I'm going to re-record Beginner 1 for 2013, and then move FORWARD from where Expert 10 left off with new lessons.
WORD: I'm most likely going to re-record the 5 beginner lessons for 2013 and then move forward with 2013.
OUTLOOK and POWERPOINT: getting brand new 2013 editions.
If you haven't upgraded to 2013 yet, I highly recommend it. Microsoft has a new pricing structure where you can pay for Office 365 which includes ALL of the Office apps (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) for just $99 per year. You get free updates and everything. I've been using the 2013 preview for the past few months now and it's great.
More to come.
