Working on Access Dev 14
By Richard Rost   Richard Rost on Facebook Richard Rost on Twitter Richard Rost on LinkedIn Email Richard Rost   6/7/2020 11:02:23 AM

Hey folks. Just dropping a quick note to let you know that I'm working on Access Developer 14 today.

Got some really cool stuff for this lesson. Building a new project that's sort of along the lines of a POS system for a restaurant/cafe. But as those of you who have taken my lessons know, the database I build is just an example. There are a lot of new tips, tricks, and techniques included.

Many of you have emailed me saying that one of the things you believe you need MORE of is proper database planning, layout, and design BEFORE you start building anything. So I'm spending some time talking about that, from a developer standpoint.

Something NEW that I'm trying right now is posting videos as they're done BEFORE the whole class is finished. This way you can view them online and give me feedback and ask questions before the whole class is done. This might affect what I cover in the lessons that follow - and I might even do a video Q&A session as the last video of the class based on what you guys post.

Hey - I'm trying something new here. The new Online Theater Format that I'm rolling out makes this possible. If you haven't yet done so, check it out.

In order to get access to the PRE-RELEASE version of the class online and participate you have to have either pre-purchased Access Developer 14 (be on the Waiting List) OR be a MYOLP Developer member, OR a Learning Connection member who has finished Access Dev 13.

So give me your thoughts, comments, and what you'd like to see in upcoming lessons. Post 'em here!

Since I know a lot of you are going to ask me this... I expect to have it ready this coming week. The first videos should post by Tuesday, and the whole thing will hopefully be ready by Friday. I'm trying to speed up production, but I'm having to build new infrastructure on the web site at the same time. Once I get the first class or two finished with this new setup, it should go much faster after that.
