Introduction (9:58)

Hi Guest. Welcome to Microsoft Access Beginner Level 1. This course is for the novice user who has little or no experience with Microsoft Access.

This course was developed using Access 2013. If you have Access 2007 or 2010, you should view my Access 2010 Beginner Level 1 class. If you have Access 2003 or older, then you belong in my Access 101 class. If you're using a newer version, such as 2016 or 2019, you should be just fine watching this class. There are some minor changes in the newer versions, but they're generally for more advanced users. The core of the program is the same for beginners. An update for 2019 is coming soon.

This is where I can put any links for sample files, notes about the lesson you just watched, etc. The full screen button in the bottom-right corner of the player works now. The old Theater put the video in an iFrame which I couldn't easily resize. Now you can! Lots of people complained about this one.

Check it out and let me know what you think. For the time being, I'm going to run both systems, but eventually I want to fade out the old Theater for this. What do you think? Post your comments below.

I Like this new format especially the ability to use the full screen, also having the ability to comment to you whilst running the training video is great.

Great! I tried to make the old Theater interactive with a commenting system, but it was just way too cumbersome to update on my end involving custom ASP/HTML coding for each class, making entries in my database, posting those changes, etc. This is MUCH easier. I can do everything right in my browser. Thanks for the feedback Robert.

What do you think? The LESSON link above isn't set up yet... still have to add the rest of the videos. This will also allow me an easier time of uploading videos for a course AS THEY ARE RECORDED instead of waiting for the end of the class.
